About Ash

Hello! I’m Ashika, a weddings and events planner based in the UK.

I qualified as a Solicitor in 2017 and still work in the industry, specialising in banking & finance law. Working as a solicitor may sound like a big difference in career to being an events planner, but a lot of the skills do crossover! Attention to detail, working on spreadsheets, meeting deadlines - these are all super important in both fields.

My friends and family will agree when I say that I am SUPER organised in everything I do in life, I just can’t function otherwise! Learning to delegate and hand tasks over for my own wedding was difficult because I wanted to do everything myself, being the perfectionist I am. This is when I started Planned by Ash, after realising how much I enjoyed putting an event together and executing it. I want to be that person you can trust, so you don’t have to worry on the day. Seeing an event come to life is the best feeling for me. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and searching inspiration to create an event that fits you and your personality. Every little detail matters and there is no such thing as one event fits all.

When I am not working/planning events, I love hosting friends and family especially over special holidays like Christmas. When I can, I love to get into a good book or have a cosy night in watching a movie with a mug of hot chocolate. This beats a night out for me any day!

For me, this isn’t just a business. I want to create long lasting friendships with you in planning and executing your event, whether that be your wedding or a birthday party. I am dedicated to making every occasion memorable and smooth running. It takes a lot to put your trust into someone for such a special day, and I hope to be that person for you!
